Jessica Pegula sweeps past Barbora Krejcikova and into US Open semi-finals
Jessica Pegula, the 31-year-old American, has reached the semi-finals of the US Open after a commanding 6-3, 6-3 victory over world No. 62 Barbora Krejcikova. Pegula's performance was marked by composure, persistence, and precision, as she overcame her opponent's struggles with double faults and a low first-serve percentage. The American's win makes her the first woman to reach back-to-back semi-finals at the US Open without dropping a set since Serena Williams achieved the feat between 2011 and 2014.
