Stranger Things: Tales From '85 might be the most bizarre step Stranger Things could have taken. Take the release date, for starters. Tales From '85 airs just four months after the Stranger Things series finale. That gives fans barely any breathing room between the end of the flagship series and the beginning of this animated spin-off, proof of Netflix's ambitious, nonstop designs to turn one of its most original shows into a massive franchise.
