Diablo 4's Monsters Are Getting Deadlier, And Smarter, In Season 11

Diablo 4's Season 11 update will introduce significant changes to the game's monster behavior and difficulty. Monsters will exhibit less predictable behavior, with each type having a distinct role and identity in combat. Packs will group up less, making it harder for players to eliminate multiple packs at once. More than 20 new affixes will be added, and Elites will spawn minions that inherit some of their affixes, making encounters more challenging. Additionally, the update will introduce a new world boss, Azmodan, the Lord of Sin, who can be summoned at a special altar. The changes, combined with fewer potion charges and item progression updates, will make Diablo 4 more challenging overall. The Season 11 update is scheduled to launch on December 9, with public testing beginning on October 21. Diablo 4's second expansion is expected to be released in 2026.
