Microsoft Copilot is now a talking blob on Samsung TVs
Microsoft's AI assistant, Copilot, is now available on select Samsung TVs. Copilot can be accessed via voice chat, and it is represented on the screen as a talking blob. The AI assistant can perform various tasks, such as recapping shows, offering movie suggestions, and answering general knowledge questions. Users can also receive visual aids, such as movie summaries and Rotten Tomatoes scores, in addition to the voiced responses. Copilot's blob-like appearance is part of a larger redesign that aims to make the chatbot more personalized and user-friendly. Microsoft is also interested in positioning Copilot as a "companion" with a visual representation that users can customize. Copilot integration is also planned for LG's 2025 TV lineup, and it will join Samsung's own AI features for automatic subtitle translation and on-screen object identification.
