Arsenal confirm Martin Ødegaard has medial collateral ligament damage

Arsenal have confirmed that their captain, Martin Ødegaard, has sustained a medial collateral ligament injury to his left knee during their 2-0 win over West Ham on Saturday. Ødegaard was forced to leave the game after colliding with Crysencio Summerville in the first half. The club is hopeful that the injury will keep Ødegaard out for weeks, not months. As a result, Ødegaard has withdrawn from Norway's upcoming matches against Israel and New Zealand. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta expressed concerns about the injury after the match, with Ødegaard leaving the ground with his knee in a brace.
