Rod Fergusson leaves Blizzard after five years leading Diablo

Rod Fergusson, the general manager of the Diablo franchise at Blizzard for the past five years, has announced his departure from the company. Fergusson, who previously held the role of studio head at The Coalition, where he oversaw the Gears of War franchise, expressed pride in the work he has done at Blizzard, including four major Diablo launches. His departure comes after significant layoffs at Microsoft, Blizzard's parent company, affecting its gaming division. In response, Xbox head Phil Spencer praised Fergusson's contributions to the Diablo franchise and the gaming community.
