Dubai Airports Resume Limited Service After 48 Hours of Total Shutdown

Dubai Airports has announced the resumption of limited service after a 48-hour total shutdown. Starting from the evening of Monday, March 2, a small number of flights will operate from both Dubai International (DXB) and Dubai World Central - Al Maktoum International (DWC) airports. The total shutdown was implemented as a precautionary measure to help contain the spread of the COVID-19 outbreak. During this time, all commercial passenger flights were suspended, and only emergency landings and some cargo flights were allowed. The airports' operator stated that the gradual resumption of service is in line with the directives of the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) and the Dubai authorities. Passengers are advised to check with their respective airlines for updated flight information and to comply with all health and safety measures in place. The decision to resume limited operations reflects the efforts to balance public health concerns with the need to maintain essential air connectivity during these challenging times.
