Apple’s ‘Veritas’ chatbot is reportedly an employee-only test of Siri’s AI upgrades

Apple’s ‘Veritas’ chatbot is reportedly an employee-only test of Siri’s AI upgrades

Apple is testing a new internal chatbot called Veritas to help upgrade its Siri virtual assistant. Veritas allows employees to interact with the AI, test new features, and provide feedback. These features include searching through personal data and performing in-app actions like editing photos. Veritas is similar to other chatbot apps like ChatGPT and Gemini, but it is not intended for public release at this time. Apple's struggles to keep up with advancements in AI are well-known, and the next-gen Siri has faced multiple delays. While Veritas gives Apple the ability to quickly develop and test new Siri features, the company is reportedly considering relying on Google's Gemini for its AI-powered search instead of releasing Veritas to consumers.
