The Scanlon brothers, James and Luca, have made their mark on the international stage as teenagers, representing Gibraltar. James, who plays for Manchester United, and Luca, who plays for Burnley, both made their Gibraltar debuts in a recent match against the Faroe Islands. Luca, who is 16 years old, came on as a substitute for his elder brother James, 57 days after his birthday, becoming a full international. The brothers, who have different playing styles, were supported by their family during the match. Gibraltar's head coach, Scott Wiseman, had invited Luca to train with the senior team, where he impressed and was subsequently promoted from the under-21s to the senior squad.
