The real goal of 'Make America Healthy Again'? Woo-woo treatments for the rich, shrinking healthcare for the poor | Alexander Avila

The article discusses the "Make America Healthy Again" (Maha) movement, which is shaping the US healthcare system under the second Trump administration. The key points are: 1. Maha is being led by US health secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (RFK Jr.), who has taken several controversial actions, such as cancelling $500 million in vaccine research, firing thousands of health agency workers, and promoting an unsubstantiated link between Tylenol and autism. 2. The article suggests that the real goal of Maha is to promote "woo-woo treatments for the rich" while shrinking healthcare access for the poor. This is done through the influence of a new coterie of advisers around RFK Jr. 3. The article portrays Maha as an exclusionary, populist movement that is transforming the US healthcare system in a negative way, benefiting the wealthy and marginalizing the poor.
