European football: Harry Kane hits hat-trick and Luis Díaz off the mark as Bayern thrash Leipzig
In the opening match of the Bundesliga season, reigning champions Bayern Munich thrashed RB Leipzig 6-0. Harry Kane, the new Bayern striker, scored a hat-trick, finding the net in the 64th, 74th, and 77th minutes. Michael Olise also scored twice for Bayern. The dominant display by Bayern served as an early statement of intent in their title defense. Elsewhere, Gianluigi Donnarumma bid farewell to Paris Saint-Germain supporters as he prepares to leave the club. The Italian goalkeeper had a mixed tenure in the French capital.
