PSR era in Premier League to continue after clubs oppose new spending rules
The Premier League's Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR) are set to remain in place after clubs failed to reach an agreement on implementing new spending control measures. The league has been trying to introduce additional financial governance rules for the past 18 months, but clubs have been reluctant to sign up. Despite several teams falling foul of the current PSR system, there was no progress made at the recent quarterly shareholders' meeting.
