Watch: Why Trump is hitting the road to rally Americans

In a recent development, former US President Donald Trump has been actively hitting the road to rally Americans. This move comes as Trump seeks to refocus public attention on the state of the American economy. The BBC's White House correspondent, Bernd Debusmann, has provided an analysis of Trump's latest strategy. According to Debusmann, Trump's decision to engage in these rallies is driven by his desire to shift the narrative away from the various legal challenges he faces, including the ongoing investigations into his business dealings and the events surrounding the January 6th Capitol riots. By emphasizing the economy, Trump aims to appeal to his core supporters and present himself as a champion of American prosperity. The rallies are seen as an opportunity for Trump to energize his base and potentially influence the upcoming midterm elections. While the article provides insights into Trump's motivations, it maintains an objective tone, refraining from making any overt political judgments and focusing on the key facts surrounding the former president's current public engagement strategy.
