Microsoft is changing how Xbox controllers work on Windows 11

Microsoft is testing a change to how Xbox controllers work on Windows 11. The change will allow users to access the Task View by long-pressing the Xbox button, making it easier to switch between apps and games. This change aligns with the work Microsoft is doing for handheld gaming PCs with Windows 11, where the Xbox button opens a handheld-friendly task switcher. The change is currently being tested with Windows Insiders and is expected to be available to all Windows 11 users in the coming months.
