Amazon's new Echo Dot Max is a smart speaker built for Alexa+
Amazon has unveiled the new Echo Dot Max, a $100 smart speaker designed to support its AI-powered assistant, Alexa+. The Dot Max features enhanced audio performance, with two drivers producing three times the bass of the previous Echo Dot model. It also includes new microphones and a custom-made AZ3 chip for improved conversation detection and background noise filtering. The hardware has been redesigned, with the light ring moved to a new control surface on the front of the sphere. The Dot Max, along with other new Echo devices, are available for pre-order and will begin shipping on October 29. The devices offer early access to Alexa+, which incorporates Amazon's "Omnisense" platform to monitor activity in the home.
