Logitech’s MX Master 4 adds haptic feedback, mostly just for fun

Logitech has introduced the MX Master 4 wireless mouse, featuring a new haptic feedback system. The haptic sense panel in the thumb rest vibrates when pressed, allowing users to access customizable app and system-level shortcuts through the Action Ring overlay. While the haptics are primarily for aesthetic purposes, they can also provide a subtle vibration when switching between screens, reducing cursor-tracking issues. The MX Master 4 also includes other improvements, such as frosted, semi-transparent main buttons and a USB-C Bolt transmitter. Battery life is claimed to be up to 70 days, although using the highest haptic intensity setting may reduce this. The gesture button has been moved to a dedicated position below the horizontal scroll wheel. While the haptic feature is a new addition, the MX Master 4 is not a significant upgrade from the previous MX Master 3S model. However, it offers a compelling option for those new to the MX Master series, with its ergonomic design, smooth scroll wheel, and quiet clicks.
