Star Wars' most underrated era returns in new comic book series

The most ambitious Star Wars multimedia project to date, The High Republic initiative, has finally returned for another round of intergalactic shenanigans. The first issue of High Republic Adventures — Pathfinders is available now at your local comic book store. High Republic Adventures — Pathfinders is a six-issue limited series published by Dark Horse Comics. It's written by George Mann, illustrated by Vincenzo Riccardi, Partha Partim, Jagdim Kumar, and Michael Atiyeh, and has cover art by Jake Bartok. The story takes place 20 years after Phase II of the High Republic and follows a brand-new team of Republic Pathfinders. They are sent to investigate the mysterious circumstances behind the death of a Jedi Master, only to find out that they may have bitten off more than they can chew. Set 200 years before The Phantom Menace, the High Republic era tells a large-scale story about the Jedi, in a time when they are in their prime as guardians of the galaxy.
