Venus Williams crashes out to Jessica Bouzas Maneiro at Cincinnati Open
Venus Williams, the 45-year-old American tennis player, lost to the 22-year-old Spaniard Jessica Bouzas Maneiro in the first round of the Cincinnati Open. Bouzas Maneiro won the match 6-4, 6-4, despite Williams' efforts to fight until the end. The younger Spaniard, who is currently ranked 51st in the world, has been in good form recently, reaching the fourth round at Wimbledon and the quarterfinals in Montreal last week. Bouzas Maneiro's consistent play from the baseline, depth, and ability to redirect Williams' pace proved too much for the veteran American player.
