Metroid Prime 4 Gets Another Age Rating As Fans Await Release Date

Metroid Prime 4, the highly anticipated next installment in the Metroid Prime series, has recently received another age rating, this time in Brazil. The game has been rated +14, adding to the previous +12 rating in South Korea and the T for Teen rating in the United States. Nintendo has consistently maintained a 2025 release window for Metroid Prime 4, and fans are eagerly awaiting further updates. The game has been in development since 2017, but the initial version was scrapped, and development restarted under Retro Studios in 2019. Nintendo has shown off the first look at Metroid Prime 4 in 2024, followed by a longer preview last March, which showcased Samus' new suit and abilities. The game will be available on the Nintendo Switch and the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, with the latter utilizing the Joy-Con 2's mouse controls for enhanced gameplay. While a specific release date for Metroid Prime 4 has not yet been revealed, the recent age ratings suggest that the game is progressing well in development. Fans can expect more information during the upcoming Nintendo Direct scheduled for September 12.
