Code Vein 2 Gets A Ferocious New Trailer--And A Release Date

Bandai Namco has announced the release of Code Vein II, the sequel to the 2019 cult-classic action/RPG. The game is set in a dark fantasy world where humans coexist with undead, vampiric beings called Revenants. A mysterious force, the Luna Rapacis, is transforming Revenants into rampaging monsters, and the player character teams up with a young woman named Lou to uncover the origin of this threat and stop the world's decay. The game will feature time-travel and exploration elements, as well as the series' unique "blood action" combat skills. Players will be able to customize their character's appearance, skills, and weaponry, including two new weapons: Rune Blades and Dual Swords. Additionally, the game introduces "Forma" skills that generate powerful effects, such as the Motorcycle Forma and the Absolute Execution Sword. Code Vein II is set to release on January 30, 2026, according to the announcement made during the September 24th PlayStation State of Play broadcast.
