Australia’s Matt Hauser wins world triathlon title with emotional victory on home soil

Matt Hauser, the world's top-ranked triathlete, won the world triathlon title in Wollongong, Australia, ending a 15-year drought for the country. Hauser, a two-time Olympian, dominated the 1.5km swim, 40km cycle, and 10km run event, finishing 34 seconds ahead of his nearest competitor. In the women's event, Germany's Lisa Tertsch claimed her maiden world championship crown.
