Rayman For Game Boy Gets New Physical Edition For Franchise's 30th Anniversary

Ubisoft's classic platforming series Rayman celebrated its 30th anniversary, and the developer has confirmed that the next mainline entry is in the works, though it's still a long way off. To commemorate the occasion, Ubisoft has partnered with ModRetro to release a new physical edition of the original Rayman game for the Game Boy Color. The ModRetro Chromatic edition of Rayman features a high-quality recreation of the original GBC cartridge, complete with a new soundtrack and a themed charm. The game is fully compatible with original Game Boy Color hardware, as well as modern FPGA handhelds like the Analogue Pocket. Rayman on GBC is considered one of the better platformers on the system, with over 30 levels spread across seven main biomes and endgame challenge worlds. Despite being a handheld adaptation of the console version, the game offers a distinct and compelling experience, with colorful sprites and environments that still hold up today.
