Older autistic people need more help after years of misdiagnosis, review finds

The findings emphasize the need for better support and resources for middle-aged and elderly autistic individuals, who have faced added difficulties due to the lack of proper diagnosis and treatment in their earlier years. The review calls for a greater focus on addressing the unique challenges faced by this underserved population.
