Mammotion says it has achieved a major leap in robot navigation

Mammotion, a company specializing in robot lawn mowers, has announced the development of a new navigation platform called the Tri-Fusion Positioning System. This system combines LiDAR, Real-Time Kinematic (RTK), and vision capabilities into a single system, aiming to provide high-accuracy mowing in any environment. The Tri-Fusion Positioning System is the result of nine years of development effort, and Mammotion claims it will be available as firmware updates for its recently released Luba Mini AWD LiDAR and Yuka Mini Vision robot lawn mowers, as well as several upcoming models. The company states that the Tri-Fusion system can deliver centimeter-level positioning accuracy, addressing the limitations of individual navigation technologies. The Luba Mini AWD LiDAR and Yuka Mini Vision are now available in Europe, with plans to launch them in the U.S. and U.K. markets later in 2025.
