An attorney for Anthony Fauci was removed from a Senate hearing chamber after repeated disruptions. The Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee’s hearing with Anthony Fauci on Capitol Hill got off to a rocky start Wednesday morning when Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., ordered one of Fauci’s lawyers removed after he repeatedly refused to stop disrupting the proceedings. Fauci refused to respond to questions from Paul, repeatedly invoking the Fifth Amendment. The hearing then took a turn when attorney David Schertler, whom Paul identified as one of Fauci’s "half a dozen" lawyers, attempted to speak without being recognized. "You are not recognized, you're not recognized. If you are unruly, you will be removed from the proceeding," Paul warned.
