According to Bloody-Disgusting, Christopher Lloyd is attached to reprise his role as Dr. Carl Goodman in the next entry of the Piranha franchise, now officially titled Piranha: Pacific Nightmare. Directed by Stens Christensen (Raging Angels), the story concerns “a scientist creating a new breed of Piranha/Tuna hybrid that could live in saltwater as a new food source” until “the DNA mutates into a deadly new species.” The project plans to film in Japan and is currently accepting donations on the Japanese crowdfunding website, Camp-Fire. The latest issue of Production Weekly (via World of Reel) states Edge of Tomorrow 2 will finally enter production sometime in “late 2026”. Deadline reports production has wrapped on The Heretiks, a “witch-themed home invasion horror” movie starring Kimberly Epstein, Josie Wert, Ava Mae Seidensticker, Tess Williams, and Luke Speakman.
