Trump U-turns to renominate billionaire for Nasa chief

The article reports that President Trump has renominated billionaire Jared Isaacman for the position of Nasa chief, after withdrawing his initial nomination in May. The withdrawal occurred during a high-profile feud between Trump and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk. Isaacman is a private space entrepreneur and the founder of Shift4 Payments, a payment processing company. His renomination comes as a surprise, given the previous withdrawal and the ongoing tensions between Trump and Musk, who have clashed over various issues, including the Covid-19 pandemic and the future of the space industry. The article does not provide further details on the reasons behind the renomination or the potential implications for Nasa and the space industry. It remains to be seen how Isaacman's nomination will be received and whether he will be successfully confirmed for the position.
