Battlefield Is Getting A New Battle Royale Mode, It Seems
EA is bringing back a Battlefield-themed battle royale mode, which seems to be a revival of the Firestorm mode from Battlefield V. The teaser video showed soldiers in a tropical location as a massive firestorm spreads down a mountain towards them. The developers did not confirm the mode's name, but it is likely to be called Firestorm. The mode will first be available for testing in the Battlefield Labs program. It remains unclear whether the battle royale mode will be a standalone download or only available with the purchase of Battlefield 6. The game is set to launch on October 10 with a standard edition priced at $70 and a Phantom Edition for $100. A Battlefield 6 open beta will begin in August.
