Arc Raiders Server Slam Is Live, Letting You Try Ex-Battlefield Dev's New Game For Free

Embark Studios, founded by former Battlefield executives, has launched a free open test for its upcoming PvPvE extraction shooter, Arc Raiders, from October 10 to October 19. The test is available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, allowing players to try the Dam Battleground map and experience the game's progression, crafting, and quest systems. The purpose of the test is to help Embark Studios prepare its servers for the game's official launch on October 30. All participants will receive a special "Server Slammer" backpack cosmetic reward when the full game is released. Progress made during the test will not carry over to the full launch. Arc Raiders is set in a future where players take shelter underground and venture out to collect resources and fight. The game is launching shortly after the release of EA's Battlefield 6 and before the arrival of Activision's Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, further intensifying the shooter genre.
