Forget a Final Fantasy 6 remake — FF7’s visionary is looking beyond

In particular, director Naoki Hamaguchi doesn't seem to want to work on a Final Fantasy 6 remake. This admission came during an interview with Game Informer about next year's Final Fantasy 7 Revelation. Hamaguchi, who directed all three games in the Final Fantasy 7 remake series, was asked about what he may develop next. His response indicated that he knows fans want Square Enix to create a Final Fantasy 6 remake, but that he doesn't have much personal interest in developing that kind of game. "I do see a lot of fans and community asking me to take on the helm for a FF6 remake," he explained."So, I'm seeing a lot of that floating online, but, you know, a Final Fantasy 6 Remake or any other remake, it could be me, or it could be someone else.
