The trailer features Wolverine battling familiar faces, including Omega Red and a giant sentinel, as well as the villainous Reavers, a group of cyborgs who hate mutants. The game will take players on a global journey, from the Canadian wilderness to the streets of Tokyo, and even to Wolverine's old stomping grounds in Madripoor. The game's story and development have faced some challenges, including a massive data breach in December 2023 that released raw footage of a pre-alpha build. Insomniac Games has confirmed that more information about Marvel's Wolverine will be shared next spring, and the game will be released for the PlayStation 5 in the fall of 2026.
