Doom: The Dark Ages Revelations DLC Revealed With New Spear Weapon and July Release Date

Bethesda and id Software have revealed a first look at Doom: The Dark Ages Revelations, a new campaign DLC release that’s coming to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X | S with a July 7, 2026, release date. First gameplay showed the Doomslayer is sticking to his medieval theme for the add-on content, as he can be seen dismantling enemies with a new weapon called the Chain Spear throughout a collection of snowy environments. It can, of course, be hucked into demons, but it can also be used to reflect bullets. A few shots also show him using the new tool to grapple to ledges and levitate around enemies. You'd be forgiven for thinking a Doom trailer would stick to surface-level FPS gameplay, but a few blink-and-you'll-miss-it moments also show that players will be revisiting a few close-quarters retro locations, too.
