Take-Two Boss Explains Why The Company Doesn't Put Many Games On PS Plus Or Game Pass
Take-Two Interactive, the company behind popular franchises like Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption, has largely kept its marquee titles away from subscription services like Xbox Game Pass or PlayStation Plus. Take-Two's President, Karl Slatoff, has explained that the company does occasionally place its titles in subscription services, but only if the economic deal is favorable. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has previously stated that it doesn't make sense to put the company's new titles on these services, as they would only drive up subscriptions for a short period of time. Additionally, the head of Raccoon Logic studio, Alex Hutchinson, has argued that launching titles day one on Game Pass can devalue games and hurt the industry, citing his own experience with the launch of Revenge of the Savage Planet.
