Amazon awkwardly edited the guns out of James Bond art

Amazon has faced backlash from James Bond fans after removing guns from the iconic spy's poster art. The updated posters, released for James Bond Day, featured characters like Sean Connery, Pierce Brosnan, and Roger Moore awkwardly holding empty hands instead of their signature Walther PPK pistols. Fans were quick to notice the edits, with some accusing Amazon of being "woke" for the decision. The thumbnails have since been updated to use stills from the movies, but fans have observed that these images also lack firearms. At least one still, for the film Skyfall, appears to have been altered to remove a gun. Amazon has not responded to requests for comment on the issue. Despite the controversy, the empty-handed poster of Pierce Brosnan has provided ample material for memes among fans.
