YouTube agrees to pay Trump $24.5m to settle lawsuit over account suspension

YouTube has agreed to pay $24.5 million to settle a lawsuit filed by former US President Donald Trump. The lawsuit alleged that YouTube wrongly suspended Trump's channel after the January 6 attack on the US Capitol. YouTube had suspended Trump's channel, stating that it had violated the platform's policies against inciting violence.
