England wing Tommy Freeman sets sights on switch to centre for club and country

In a bid to expand his role, England's reigning player of the year Tommy Freeman has set his sights on a switch from the wing to outside-centre for both his club and country. Freeman, who plays for Northampton, had a standout 2024-25 season, scoring 23 tries across his club, England, and British & Irish Lions appearances. This included a memorable hat-trick in the Champions Cup semi-final against Leinster and becoming the first England men's player to score in every round of the Six Nations. Now, the versatile player is looking to trust his abilities in the midfield and continue his transformation into a centre in the upcoming season.
