Honda and Acura EV owners gain access to Tesla Supercharger network

Honda and Acura EV owners can now access the extensive Tesla Supercharger network with the release of the first Honda-approved NACS-CCS DC fast-charging adapter. This adapter allows owners of the Honda Prologue and Acura ZDX to charge their vehicles at over 23,500 selected Tesla Superchargers across the country. According to Ryan Harty, assistant vice president of Sustainability and Business Development at American Honda Motor Company, this move provides Honda and Acura EV drivers with added peace of mind and a wider range of dependable DC fast charging options nationwide. While Honda and Acura currently have only one fully-electric model each, this integration with the Tesla Supercharger network lays the groundwork for future EV models from these brands. Prologue and ZDX drivers will be able to see Tesla Superchargers on their built-in Google Maps and use the Tesla app to initiate charging. The Honda-approved adapter is available for purchase from authorized Honda and Acura dealerships in the US or online, retailing for $225.
