Sora 2, launched on an invite-only basis, allows users to generate short videos based on text prompts, leading to a flood of videos featuring characters from shows like SpongeBob SquarePants, South Park, Pokémon, and Rick and Morty. In response, OpenAI says it will work with rights holders to "block characters from Sora at their request." This move aims to address concerns from copyright owners and ensure that Sora 2 respects intellectual property rights.
