UK doctors guilty of sexual misconduct are not being struck off, research finds

The research by the Royal College of Surgeons (RCS) reveals that UK doctors found guilty of sexual misconduct are not being adequately sanctioned. The analysis of fitness to practice tribunals shows that 24% of doctors guilty of such misconduct were given suspensions but allowed to continue practicing medicine, despite the General Medical Council (GMC) recommending they be struck off the medical register.
