Samsung now owns Denon, Bowers & Wilkins, Marantz, Polk, and more audio brands

Samsung, through its subsidiary Harman, has completed the acquisition of Sound United, a former audio business of Masimo. The $350 million deal expands Samsung's audio brand portfolio, adding Bowers & Wilkins, Denon, Marantz, Definitive Technology, Polk Audio, HEOS, Classé, and Boston Acoustics to its existing brands, including JBL and Harman Kardon. Harman's lifestyle lead, Dave Rogers, stated that the acquisition aligns with Harman's values and provides growth opportunities for the company as an audio leader. Sound United will operate as a standalone business under Harman's lifestyle division to maintain the identity and customer base of each audio brand. The sale allows Masimo to focus on its lawsuit against US Customs and Border Protection, which it launched in August regarding the Apple Watch.
