The Elden Ring movie gets its first official update — and its a major cast reveal

The full cast also includes Havana Rose Liu, Sonoya Mizuno, Jonathan Pryce, Ruby Cruz, Nick Offerman, and Peter Serafinowicz. Elden Ring, adapted from the smash hit dark fantasy game by Dark Souls developer FromSoftware, has the "Filmed for IMAX" certification, meaning it will be optimized for, and debut in, IMAX theaters (but won't be shot with IMAX film cameras). The announcement comes after reports started to snowball around the construction of sets in the U.K., and casting rumors started to circulate, which have turned out to be accurate. A24 says the movie will begin production in spring 2026 — in other words, now-ish. The cast features multiple alumni of previous Garland films.
