Kojima Has Already Written Death Stranding 3's "Concept"

Hideo Kojima, the director and writer of the Death Stranding franchise, has revealed that he has already written the "concept" for a potential Death Stranding 3, despite having no plans to develop the game himself at the moment. Kojima stated that the ending of Death Stranding 2 was his finale for the first two games, but he is open to someone else creating the third installment. This echoes Naughty Dog's approach to the Uncharted series, where the company expressed openness to another studio developing a fifth game. The Death Stranding franchise has been critically and commercially successful, and Kojima is also working on a movie adaptation with A24, suggesting the potential for further expansion of the franchise. However, Kojima is currently focused on other projects, including a new game called OD with Oscar-winning director Jordan Peele and Xbox, as well as an espionage-themed game called Physint with Sony. Despite his age, Kojima has expressed his intention to continue creating until his death, indicating that the Death Stranding franchise may not be his sole focus in the immediate future.
