Keychron introduces world-first all-ceramic mechanical keyboard

Keychron, a prominent mechanical keyboard manufacturer, has introduced the world's first all-ceramic mechanical keyboard, the Q16 HE. The keyboard features a unique design, with both the keycaps and the body made entirely out of ceramic material. The ceramic construction offers a distinct "clack" sound and a smooth feel with every keypress, providing a premium typing experience. The keyboard also includes Hall effect linear switches with adjustable actuation, hot-swap switch sockets, RGB lighting, and programmable options through Keychron's web-based launcher. Despite the advanced features, the Q16 HE is not marketed as a gaming keyboard. It also lacks wireless connectivity, likely due to concerns over battery power and signal interference from the ceramic body. Keychron plans to launch the Q16 HE through a Kickstarter campaign, but the company has not yet announced a release date or pricing. Given the use of premium ceramic materials, the keyboard is expected to come with a high price tag.
