Capcom Restores Free Viewing Option For Street Fighter World Championship After Backlash

Capcom has announced changes to its plans for the Capcom Cup finals and Street Fighter League World Championship following backlash from fans. Initially, the events were set to be pay-per-view only, but Capcom has now introduced a cheaper $10 pay-per-view option and a free viewing option. The free version will be available in-game on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC, but not on the Nintendo Switch 2. Pay-per-view viewers will receive a special in-game outfit for the character Rashid. Capcom has also revealed that a new Street Fighter movie will be released by Paramount and Legendary on October 16, with a cast that includes Andrew Koji, Noah Centineo, Callina Liang, Jason Momoa, Cody Rhodes, and Joe "Roman Reigns" Anoa'i.
