This American Airlines Credit Card is Great for Occasional Fliers Who Want Premium Perks

Citi and American Airlines have launched a new $350 credit card, the Citi AAdvantage Platinum Select World Elite Mastercard, aimed at occasional flyers who want premium perks. The card offers two American Airlines lounge passes per year, providing access to Admirals Club lounges. It also provides a free checked bag for the cardholder and up to four companions on domestic American Airlines flights. Additionally, cardholders can earn 2 miles per $1 spent on eligible American Airlines purchases and 1 mile per $1 spent on other purchases. The card is well-suited for those who fly American Airlines a few times a year and want to enjoy lounge access and free checked bags without committing to a more expensive card with higher annual fees. However, frequent flyers may find more value in a higher-tier American Airlines credit card that offers additional benefits.
