Microsoft Photos will soon auto-categorize your pictures
Microsoft is testing a new AI-powered feature for its Photos app on Windows 11 Insiders on Copilot Plus PCs. The feature will automatically categorize images of receipts, screenshots, identity documents, and handwritten notes into separate folders. The app can identify these types of images based on their visual content, even if the text is in a language other than English. The categorized folders will be displayed under the "Categories" section in the left navigation bar. Currently, the app can only identify and categorize the four mentioned types of images, but Microsoft may expand the feature to allow users to specify their own categories in the future.
