Manchester United confident of beating Newcastle to signing Benjamin Sesko

Manchester United are reportedly confident of signing RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko, despite interest from Newcastle United. Sesko, a Slovenian international, has indicated his preference to join the Old Trafford club, even though they do not offer Champions League football. United have offered an initial £65.4 million for Sesko, with the potential for the deal to rise to £74.1 million through add-ons. Newcastle were also interested in the player, but Sesko has chosen to join Manchester United, where he is expected to sign a five-year contract. The report suggests that United will consider loaning out Sesko's compatriot, Valentin Højlund, if the club can secure the necessary wages and fees for the transfer.
