Payday 2 Is Getting New Updates From Partner Studio

Payday 2, a popular multiplayer heist game, will receive new updates from partner studio Sidetrack Games. The first update, scheduled for October 23, will focus on improving the game's stability and overall player experience. Future updates will address quality-of-life improvements and general game fixes. Sidetrack Games, previously known as the M.U.G. Team in the Payday modding community, will be responsible for maintaining and updating Payday 2, while Starbreeze, the game's publisher, will primarily focus on developing Payday 3. Payday 2 still enjoys a sizable player base, with tens of thousands of concurrent players, while Payday 3 has struggled to reach 1,000 concurrent players. Starbreeze has made a renewed push towards the Payday franchise, including adding a Payday 2 subscription service and apologizing for raising the price of the game's DLC bundle.
