Gearbox Shares Some Funny Borderlands 4 Opening Weekend Stats

Borderlands 4, the latest installment in the popular looter-shooter franchise, has recently been released, and Gearbox Studios has shared some interesting statistics from the game's opening weekend. According to the data, players have been extremely active in their quest for loot, with an impressive 14,814,296 items looted from red chests alone. However, this pursuit of treasure has come at a cost, with 2,034,399 players falling victim to barrels and 4,563,416 being killed by grenades. Additionally, 16,220,852 vehicles were destroyed, and players attempted 62,718,658 boss battles, with 55,403,323 bosses being defeated. Despite the game's positive critical reception, PC players have been vocal about performance and optimization issues, which Gearbox Studios CEO Randy Pitchford has addressed. To celebrate the game's launch, Gearbox has also provided a code for the Break Free Pack and two ECHO-4 drone skins.
