Google lets you pick preferred sources when you search
Google is rolling out a new feature called Preferred Sources, which allows users to select specific websites or news outlets as their preferred sources for search results. The feature is currently available to English language users in the US and India. With Preferred Sources, users can type in the name of the publication or website they want to prioritize, and the search results will show a "top stories" or "from your sources" section featuring content from those preferred sources. Users can choose multiple preferred sources, though choosing too many may defeat the purpose. The selected preferred sources will remain as favorites on the same account, and anyone who participated in the Labs test should still see their preferences. The feature aims to encourage readers to follow publications and add them as preferred sources.
